BB is `n trots Suid-Afrikaanse duitssprekende sanger / liedjieskrywer gebore en getoë in Namibië en Pretoria, wat liedjies in Afrikaans en Engels asook Duits skryf en toonset. "My doel is altyd om `n goeie, sterk en inspirerende boodskap deur middel van lirieke en klank oor te dra en my wens is dat my werk meer as slegs vermaak is, maar ook as inspirasie en motivering sal dien".

She recently translated and recorded one of her all-time favourite Afrikaans songs into English. Koos Kombuis (the original writer of "Lisa se Klavier") said of BB's version that it was so beautiful that when he first heard it whilst driving in his car he lost his way on a road that he took every day. Koos regularly invites her to perform at his shows, when in Gauteng - specifically for her version of "Lisa on the Keys", but also often requests a few of her other original songs. She receives wonderful reviews for her guest appearances and also serves as a great opening act with her eloquent ease and charm. She does a superb rendition of the famous "Lili Marlene" in both English and German which leaves audiences hushed and calling for an encore regularly.

MD Greyling het onlangs sy nuwe cd vrygestel waarvan die titelsnit "Binne My" deur BB geskryf is. Die cd (en liedjie) is tydens sy optredes al by talle geleenthede ook op televisie (Sweepslag & Jukebox met Kurt Darren) uitgevoer en 'n video opname daarvan is so pas voltooi en vrygestel.

In 2006 is twee van haar oorspronklike Engelse liedjies in `n internasionale liedjieskryf kompetisie ingeskryf (http://www.songoftheyear.com) waartydens een van hulle 'n eervolle vermelding ontvang het en die ander `n naaswennerposisie behaal het.

In Feb 2009 het BB uiteindelik haar eie cd "Ek ken Jou" in die Centurion teater vrygestel. Die cd bevat slegs haar eie oorspronklike Afrikaanse liedjies - almal verteenwoordigend van die wye reeks onderwerpe waaroor sy skryf en wat sy aanspreek. Sy het in haar repertoire vir optredes nog etlike ander liedjies beskikbaar, soos deur die gehoor en plek (geleentheid) voorgeskryf of versoek word. ('n Opname van haar engelse weergawe van "Lisa se klavier" is wel op die cd bygevoeg).

BB has an uncanny ability to deliver lyrics and songs at the drop of a hat. She writes and composes personalized songs for weddings. The process starts with the bride, groom or parents requesting a song for the special day; an interview or written communication takes place, after which she delivers lyrics which have been noted by couples as being "written as if by" themselves. She, together with the person/people involved, determines a genre (be it ballad, contemporary, old-fashioned, sokkie, rock or country) and the song is created. The song is delivered as a demo recording and a backtrack is supplied as well. She is regularly invited to perform the song herself at these occasions. She guarantees an original song for every new request and although copyright stays her own she promises authenticity and that the song will not be used for any other wedding, thus the phrase "our song" really gets special meaning for each and every couple.

Die betrokke familie was nie net diep geraak deur haar insig en empatie nie, maar die kwaliteit van die liedjie asook haar vermoë om vreemde mense se gevoelens reg op te som en te verwoord het hulle self woordeloos gelaat. Nodeloos om te sê dat hulle met die volgende geleentheid ('n familietroue) nie die kans verby laat gaan het om haar te versoek om 'n unieke oorspronklike liedjie vir die bruid en bruidegom te skryf.

BB presents at various occasions and events with ease as speaker and singer alike. She has presented and acted as MC at numerous prize-givings and has been engaged by motivational speakers as inspirational entertainer. She has worked with Anne Dreyer Erasmus and has written topic-specific songs for Anne's appearances to ensure that the audience stay 'in the moment'. She is witty and funny as well as profound and sympathetic. She understands especially women's needs to be entertained as well as motivated and presents special attention to each and every audience member. As much as she can get the crowd to giggle at amusing reflections on specific issues with a song, she has them in tears with songs ranging from the loss of a child right through to the inability to have a baby. It is this ability which leaves many women making and keeping contact with her even months after they have experienced her performance - be it in a church hall or a ladies cocktail party. She represents women in all their facets - and makes women feel 'normal' and good about who they are and what they represent. She has come a long way in life having to learn to love herself and often uses the phrase: "I love women!! There's a special kind of hell for women who do not love other women enough to make life just a little easier, just a little better for them. To hurt another woman intentionally is the ultimate sin!"

BB het al twee huldeblyk liedjies (tributes) die lig laat sien - een vir Koos Kombuis "HEY, KOOS" waarvan sy sê: "Ek móés net…") en een vir Steve Hofmeyr "DUISEND MAAL 'N STÊR" nadat Steve ondersteuners haar genader vir 'n spesiale geskenk aan dié, Suid-Afrika se (enigste) Superstêr. Daarvan sê sy - "Ek is so ongelooflik trots op daardie liedjie! Gee Steve alle eer - ons het reëls en frases vir die verse uit sy bestaande liedjies gebruik, want hoe anders huldig jy een van ons mees suksesvolle en talentvolle liedjieskrywers as juis met sy eie woorde?? Die koor gedeelte is oorspronklik en het ek self geskryf - uit die oog van sy bewonderaars (waarvan ek ook een is). Na aanleiding van die vraag: "Hoekom?", sê sy: "Ek gee graag blomme terwyl mense nog lewe…".

BB lives to write - and dreams of being able to write to live. She is a 9 to 5 working girl - a trained systems analyst programmer and knows all about budgeting, bills, breakfast and mascara in rush hour traffic and a full working day. Her me-time is spent writing, writing and writing once more. It is her favourite way of ridding herself of tension, weaving dreams and facing the world.

BB het 3 kinders - in haar oë "net aan my geleen deur God". Sy sê dat sy `n beplande lewe lei - en glo dat solank as wat sy in die wil van God beweeg, sy altyd op die regte tyd en plek sal wees om haar lewensdoel te bereik.
